Work's been annoyingly hectic lately. That's not to say I didn't find time to get Beth to do my hair last Friday for my anniversary dinner. Four years if you can believe that! Anyway, that girl clearly missed her calling. It's just a shame I had to sleep and wash my hair and other annoying things because it really did look great.

If you're wondering, I got an incredibly beautiful ring. Not too much of a surprise but at least I hadn't actually picked it out myself. If I didn't know better, I'd be concerned that my fi boyfriend has such good taste in jewellery.

Le finally gave in and agreed on extending our little family. I knew threatening to withhold sex my own puppy eyes would work.

She's even cuter than that picture suggests too. I think I may love her more than poor Le. She isn't quite as good at foot rubs though.

I think he already regrets it though, considering the look I got when I got home from the pet store. It looked remarkably like the look I get when I come home with new shoes - even when they're on sale! But really, how could I go past the toys, and the little blue jacket, and the big comfy bed? She needs to be spoiled. It's not like we have kids to lavish the love on.

Does anyone know of a foolproof method for convincing reluctant boyfriends that we need a dog? One of the girls at work is fostering a little dog called Shelby but they can't keep her permanently and she's a really sweet dog. I think Leroy's just paranoid that she'll ruin his carefully groomed garden.

It'd be nice to have someone nagging me to get some exercise too. I have a wedding dress to fit into!
